Before operation, a comprehensive inspection should be conducted to prevent any hidden dangers and ensure safe operation. The main inspection contents are as follows:
(1) Inspect all mechanisms, parts, structural welds, bolts, pin shafts, winch and wire ropes, hooks, slings, safety devices, electrical equipment, lines, etc. of tower cranes, and handle problems in a timely manner P>
(2) Inspect limit switches, protective devices, alarm and display recording devices, electrical protection, safety protection devices and facilities, and promptly handle any problems found P>
(3) Inspect the hydraulic cylinders and oil tanks of the lifting hydraulic system of the self elevating tower crane, the lifting frame structure, guide wheels, and lifting shoes and claws, and promptly handle any problems found P>
(4) Check the power supply and power supply circuit to ensure normal power supply P>

Tower cranes shall not be installed or used if one of the following situations is found before installation and during use:
(1) Visible cracks and severe corrosion on the structure P>
(2) The main load-bearing components have plastic deformation P>
(3) The connector has severe wear and plastic deformation P>
(4) The steel wire rope meets the scrapping standard P>
(5) Incomplete or ineffective safety devices P>

When using tower cranes, it is strictly prohibited for personnel to stay below the boom and lifting objects; When lifting objects, it is strictly prohibited to pass over personnel. It is strictly prohibited to use tower cranes to transport personnel P>

When multiple tower cranes cross operate on the same construction site, a special plan should be prepared and collision prevention safety measures should be taken P>

In case of sudden accidents during operation, measures should be taken to lower the suspended object to a safe location, and it is strictly prohibited to hang the suspended object in the air for a long time P>

When encountering strong winds or severe weather such as heavy rain, snow, or fog with wind speeds of 12m/s or above, operations should be stopped P>

During the lifting operation, the following safety precautions should be noted:
(1) Before lifting, it is necessary to check the connection of various components of the hydraulic lifting system, adjust the gap between the lifting sleeve guide roller and the tower body, and then loosen the cable, which is slightly longer than the lifting height, and tighten the cable drum P>
(2) Jacking operations must be carried out under the command of a dedicated person. Non operators are not allowed to climb onto the operating platform of the jacking frame. One person is assigned to operate in the operating room and strictly follow the signal command P>
(3) Jacking operations are not allowed when the wind force is above level four. If the wind force intermittently increases or decreases during the operation, the operation must be stopped immediately and the upper and lower tower bodies must be firmly connected P>
(4) When lifting, the lifting arm and balance arm must be in a balanced state, and the rotating part must be braked. Rotating the boom and other operations are strictly prohibited. If a malfunction is found during the lifting process, the lifting must be immediately stopped for monitoring, and the lifting can only continue after the malfunction is resolved. If the fault cannot be eliminated in a short period of time, the lifting bracket should be lowered to its original position and the connecting bolts should be tightened in a timely manner P>
(5) When removing the connecting bolts (pins) between the rotary table and the tower body standard section, if it is difficult to install and remove the last bolt, the bolts in the diagonal direction should be reinserted before taking other measures. Do not loosen bolts (pins) by rotating the lifting arm P>
(6) During the lifting operation, always pay attention to the pressure changes in the hydraulic system. If there are any abnormalities, they should be checked and adjusted in a timely manner. A dedicated person should also use a theodolite to measure the verticality changes of the tower body and keep records P>
(7) The height of the free end of the tower crane should meet the requirements of the manual. After lifting to the specified height, the tower body must be attached to the building before continuing to lift P>
(8) The precautions for lifting during disassembly are the same as above. But the attachment device must not be dismantled in advance, and can only be dismantled when it is lowered to the attachment joint P>
(9) After the installation and disassembly work is completed, all connecting bolts should be tightened according to the specified pre tightening force. The guide rollers of the lifting bracket should match the tower body well, and the left and right control rods of the hydraulic system should be in the middle position. The power supply of the hydraulic lifting mechanism should be cut off P>
(10) After the lifting is completed, the verticality of the tower crane should be measured, and all limit devices should be rechecked and adjusted P>
Tower cranes are important lifting equipment in construction, which are prone to accidents such as equipment collapse, high-altitude falls, object strikes, and lifting injuries during operation. Their operation is highly dangerous and poses great safety risks P>
